Clearwave Fiber Associate Receives Macon Chamber of Commerce Ambassador of the Year Award

December 1, 2022 – Savannah, GA – The Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce presented Clearwave Fiber Associate Josh Wilson with the 2022 Chamber Ambassador of the Year award at its annual banquet in December at Macon Terminal Station.

Ambassadors represent the Macon Chamber and advocate on behalf of the organization. They currently have about 50 ambassadors in the program.

Wilson is an active member with the Chamber. In his ambassador role, he attends ribbon cuttings and networking events and performs other outreach efforts to spread the word about the Chamber and local businesses. “I’m happy to be able to give back to the community I was raised in,” he said. “It’s exciting to see Macon continue to grow and thrive.”

As a Business Account Executive with Clearwave Fiber, Wilson is responsible for proactively reaching out to prospective commercial customers and seeking to generate new revenue through prospecting.

“I am quite proud of Joshua’s accomplishment of earning the Ambassador of the Year Award. He is relentless in his commitments and regularly meets with Chamber leadership while engaging other businesses throughout the community on its behalf,” said Clearwave Fiber System General Manager Derrick Grissom. “Josh is a reliable leader among his Macon and Atlanta teammates, while also taking an active role in his local community. That speaks volumes about his character.”

A graduate of Georgia College in Milledgeville, Wilson began his career in telecom in May 2020. He is currently pursuing a Master of Business and Technology from University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business and expects to graduate in May of 2023. In addition to golf, Wilson enjoys watching football, especially the Georgia Bulldogs.
